1928 Pierce-Arrow Model 36: A Testament to Luxury and Craftsmanship in Classic Automobiles.

In 1918, Pierce-Arrow changed management and began developing a new universal model that could fit any body. As a result, the choice of chassis and body combinations was reduced from 56 to 10, and only one car remained in the catalog - the Pierce-Arrow Model 32. Engineer Charles Sheppey built for it a 6784 cm3 inline 6-cylinder engine with two lower camshafts, but as a one-piece cast block (previously, the cylinders were cast in pairs). This motor had 4 valves and 2 spark plugs per cylinder. Pierce-Arrow's distinguishing feature was the headlights mounted in the front fenders, although the customer could also order the classic version with free-standing headlights. The steering wheel was moved from the right side to the left, in connection with the approval of right-hand traffic in the USA.

Model 32 was produced until 1921, and then underwent a minor update and was renamed Model 33. Their cost was from $6500 to $8500. In 1927-1928. the last model from the 6-cylinder series, the Pierce-Arrow Model 36, was produced, which differed from its predecessors only in minor design changes.

This seven-seater 1928 Model 36 is a perfect, "pure" Pierce-Arrow model as it was one of the last cars produced by the original company before its ill-fated merger with Studebaker.

The color combination with black Seal Brown fenders, belt and moldings contrasts beautifully with the black convertible top, black leather interior. Painted wooden gunnery wheels and a rear light add their own special touches to the car.

Historical records indicate that the car was originally delivered to a wealthy family in New Jersey, who drove it for two years and then put it into storage for 14 years.
